Shiba Inu Token Lost 55,000 Holders in Just 10 Days

Shiba Inu (SHIB) token, the second most popular dog based meme coin after dogecoin had been gradually rising the number of holders over the previous three months, but the memecoin has recently lost about 55,000 holders in just ten days.

According to CoinMarketCap data, Indeed, in the past ten days, SHIB has gone from having 1,198,789 holders on March 15 to just 1,144,118 as of March 25, a decrease of 54,671.

The total number of unique addresses on the network that were holding meme currency had been steadily increasing until March 17, and then it saw a significant decrease by 32,832 holders in a single day.

As per IntoTheBlock data, 55% of the SHIB holders suffered a huge loss.

Additionally, Google Trends data shows that interest in the search ‘Buy Shiba Inu coin’ has been declining as of late, with the score dropping from 100 on November 30, 2021, to just 3 on February 28, indicating a reduction in the interest of an astounding percent during this period.

Despite this, the SHIB community was one of the most vital groups to support the protocol. SHIBburn reported that the SHIB army recorded a total burn of 410,273,539,992,961 SHIB in 3,412 transactions in the year 2021 and burned 410,302,037,974,964 SHIB tokens (41.0302%) have been burned from the maximum total supply of 999,991,727,753,739 SHIB till date.

Nevertheless, the SHIB is currently trading at $0.00002647, 7.37% up in the last 24 hours and the trading volume also jumped 184% to $1,423,262,180 in the last 24 hours according to CoinMarketCap data.
